Uber’s application says the following:
Despite that, this zone is problematic for Uber. My first driver called me and said it is illegal to be picked up there and the police will give me a ticket. He wanted to meet one floor down. When I mentioned Uber says this is is the pickup place, he cancelled.
Called another Uber and he came to the pickup zone, but when he saw me and the cop near by, he just drove to Entrance 7 and showed me with a hand to follow him there. It seems there are some issues either with the tariffs or airport.
Btw, the drivers will ask would you like the highway or the regular road, if you take the highway there will be upto 80 ITL (less than 3 EUR) extra charges for bridges and tolls. Uber receipt will specify these charges.
