In August 2023, I flew Edelweiss on a LX8xxx flight number SFO-ZUR. My seat was 11K, the throne seat.
Pros:
– throne seat
– good position
– privacy (solo seat)
– lie-flat bed: legrest wider than on Swiss throne seatđ
– South African Sauvignon Blanc was nice
Cons:
– a bit awkard food tray mechanism
– mediocre toiletries in a cardboard box
– slow service, long delays between courses
– lie-flat bed: terrible when in sleeping position, very uncomfortable in the lower back part; problem with spacing for the right hand – while sleeping, I literally needed to put my hand in pocket of my pants so it doesn’t stiffen up
– food was overall bad, light breakfast was basically the best part
The airplane was HB-JMG, 19 year old at this time. Its first flight was 11.11.2003.
